Senior Project Management Consultant
Overview
PMAlliance's senior consultants are highly experienced professionals in all
areas of project management consulting
who lead large cross-functional project teams to support companies worldwide. Our
senior consultants have strong leadership traits, executive-level oral and written
communication skills, and excellent analytical, organizational, and teambuilding
skills.
Senior Project Management Consultants have at least 10 years of progressive work
experience in such fields as new product development, systems integration, or project
management. They are proficient in the use of all industry-standard
project management software
systems (e.g., Primavera P3/P3e and Microsoft Project), and in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Furthermore, Senior Project Management Consultants have bachelors degrees, usually
with an engineering or business administration focus, and many Senior Project Management
Consultants have MBAs. Senior Project Management Consultants have received PMAlliance's
project management training
and are certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as Project Management
Professionals®.
Team Leadership
Senior Project Management Consultants lead large cross-functional project management teams on complex, challenging projects through the development of the following: (1) sponsor documents and high-level schedules; (2) project charters that concisely define the project scope and objectives; (3) work breakdown structures that include deliverables, work phases, and activities; and (4) network diagrams that identify the precedence relationships, durations, responsibilities, and resources for all activities.
Project Management Office Development
Senior Project Management Consultants implement and support project office development for companies worldwide. In this capacity, they assist in the hiring of internal project managers; train, mentor, and certify project managers in advanced project management techniques; and establish companywide procedures for project planning and control.
Schedule Management
Senior Project Management Consultants validate and compress project schedules to ensure the quality of the project plan and compliance with deadlines, as well as generate summary-level project status reports for key stakeholders.
